Time for...a divorce??

Bonjour chéries!

I thought we should start this new week with a film review/ recommendation. Yesterday I finally managed to rest after a pretty intense week...and what better way to relax than watching a good film? My choice was "Le divorce" (it's from 2003), a mix of drama and romantic comedy, starring Kate Hudson, Naomi Watts and Glenn Close. The action takes place in Paris, where Isabel (Kate Hudson) is visiting her sister Roxeanne (Naomi Watts) who is going through an ugly divorce with her French husband. The charm of the film comes from the clash of cultures and customs (American and French), from the mix of dramatic and humorous moments, combined with those gorgeous Parisian settings. And, of course, we have love, sophistication and style...we are in Paris, aren't we? We have intrigues, lovers and tears! But the story is told in a rather light hearted way than in an overly dramatic one and has an interesting (if not surprising ending).

Here is the trailer:

I highly recommend it (especially in the upcoming rainy autumn days when all you'll want to do is lie in bed and watch a good movie to cheer you up) and I hope you're going to enjoy it as much as I did!

Have a good week!

Speak to you soon :)

Stay a Little Longer...

Unfortunately summer is packing her things and is going on holiday for the next...9 months!!! As summer is my favourite season, I'm pretty sad that autumn and winter (brrrr) are coming because this means cold weather, rain and snow... Sure, these cold seasons have their good parts like the gorgeous leaf colours or playing in the snow or cuddling with your loved one while drinking hot chocolate, but nothing compares to summer or to the sunny weather (and summer holidays :P).

However, to my delight, we still have hot weather and I'm trying to enjoy it as much as I can by wearing as many summary skirts and dresses as possible!  Therefore, thanks to this (still) lovely weather, I decided to show you what I wore today while running some errands.

Skirt - Peek & Cloppenburg
Blouse - New Yorker
Bag - Nissa
Belt - vintage

That's it for now. Don't forget to enjoy these last lovely days of  summer! :)

Everyday Obsessions

Does it ever happen to you to get obsessed over one thing and feel that you desperately need it in your life even though deep down inside you know that you can perfectly live without it? It surely happens to me! Probably you don't know what  I mean...but maybe some of you have experienced this unhealthy habit :D

What can I say, a few times a year I get obsessed over one item and for a couple of days I act all crazy because I fell I have to own that certain item or else my life is incomplete. Oh the tragedy, right? Whether it's a piece of clothing or a beauty product (and even though I know it's not a necessity), I simply get obsessed over it and try to do everything I can to obtain it. If only we could act like this in every aspect of our lives...wouldn't that be great?

So my latest obsession is a cute bag from eBay. I simply love it and it's not even expensive. But I need a paypal account to order it...and I don't have one. Why not make one then, right? Well, I don't know if I can be bothered to make this account only for the purchase of a freakin' bag. And I don't know anyone who has such an account. I guess it's not meant to be. This will be the one that got away :( OMG, I sound so tragic!

(my obsession looks similar to the bag in the pic)

Well, I hope that a miracle will happen and I'll manage to get it in the end. If not, I'll find another thing to obsess about :)) I guess we all have our annoying habits and we all need to get obsessed over something at one point (or more) in our lives.

I know that some of you will understand me, the rest...please don't judge too harshly, ok? :P

Enough with the ramblings for today...

Take care,

Pandora

Exercise, people, exercise!

Hello there!

This evening I managed to leave my laziness behind and finally went for a run with my bf. The last time I went for a run was a few weeks ago and I expected to be very tired after just 10 minutes, but to my surprise I guess that my determination to exercise more paid off and I managed to run for more than half an hour. Impressive huh? (for me at least) Moreover, even though I’m pretty tired right now, I feel more relaxed and in a better shape :)

I’m usually a pretty lazy person when it comes to sports or physical exercises (I used to go to the gym but abandoned this activity after an year or so) and this summer I decided I needed to exercise more; therefore I started going for a run weekly (ok, I might have cheated once or twice but that doesn’t count, right?). And I have to say it shows, not only physically (I’m more toned now woop woop) but also mentally because, like I said, I feel much healthier and more relaxed. Also, if you have a rough day go and exercise because it helps, I guarantee! You’ll feel a lot better! Probably you know all these stuff but I thought it was a good idea to remind you (and myself) about the benefits of jogging/running (and of sport in general) on one’s mind and body.

So next time don’t forget to exercise!

Hello World!

I’m Pandora (obviously this is not my real name, I just like to use this nickname for my blog) and I decided to start a blog where I can ramble about everything that interests me, from fashion and beauty to books and travel destinations and so on. I used to have another blog, but due to some unfortunate circumstances I decided to close it, but as you can see I couldn’t stay away from blogging too long. So here I am again, rambling about all sorts of stuff…again. The thing that annoyed me the most in my previous blogging experience was the negativity of people and their rudeness. Basically, if you have an interest in fashion, you are either a snob who likes to brag and offend people, or you are a dumb bimbo. Well, I’m neither of those and I’m sure that other girls who have some gorgeous beauty/fashion blogs aren’t either. I just don’t get it…how people can find joy in offending others. As far as I am concerned, if you don’t like my blog, don’t read it. It’s as simple as that. There’s no need for negativity or mean words.

Now, enough with this subject, because I’m becoming too melodramatic; I just had to get this out of my system :)) Soooo, back to my blog, I really want to do something beautiful with it; I don’t know if anybody is going to read it or not, or if you’re going to like it or not, but I want to create some sort of special, positive place, where I can ramble on and on about things I like, without being criticized for it if possible (man, I’m really traumatized :P ) .

That’s about it for now. Byeee
