PhoneCam Style Post

Hello sweeties! I really need your opinion on something. As you know, I love fashion and outfit posts, but unfortunately I don't always have the time or mood for proper style posts, shot on location or in high quality. This is why some of my outfit posts are sometimes shot with my phone in my bedroom and my background consists of my bed or my desk or other boring interiors.  Thus, I was thinking that if it's OK with you, I could do more outfit posts shot with my phone, like this one. I know the quality is really poor, but at least there would hopefully be more style posts on the blog. Or would you prefer me to do the regular, more qualitative ones, even though they will be really seldom? I would really appreciate your feedback, so please tell me what you think in the comments box below.

Jumper - Love
Bowling bag with zips - Zara
Jeggins - Zara

Back to the purpose of this post, this is the outfit I wore a couple of days ago to the movies. I love this heart jumper because besides being a bit on the festive side thanks to its colours, it is also very comfortable and fun. I couldn't resist leaving my new bag at home because I was eager to take it out for a spin since I like it sooo much. I love the fact that it has an additional shoulder strap so that you can wear it on your shoulder if it gets too heavy. Inevitably, it seems that I have another bag crush. Shocking, I know...

Anyway, that's it from me now. I hope you are all doing wonderful and you've already written your new year's resolutions! Lots of love x

Christmas Snapshots

Hello lovelies and Happy Holidays!! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, relaxed a lot and got exactly what you wanted from Santa :) It's kind of funny seeing how the world goes back to the usual routine after Christmas, but at least we still have New Year's Eve to celebrate.

For today's post I though I should show you some Christmas snapshots. The last few days consisted in lots of relaxing, over indulging in my favourite Christmas specialities, watching loads of holiday movies and of course, jumping up and down with happiness that Santa came with a bunch of amazing presents!

So without further ado, here are the photos:

It was such a huge surprise the fact that I received this gorgeous Zara bowling bag with zips. I had my eyes on it for a few months and I can't believe it's finally mine! I love the golden hardware and the zip details because they make it look so chic and modern. Also the size is perfect because there is enough room to fit all your daily essentials. This was indeed a perfect gift, so thank you Santa :)

The big Christmas tree from my living room (above) and the small tree from my bedroom (below)

That's it from me guys, lots of love x

Top 12 Beauty Products of 2012

Since 2012 is drawing to an end I thought that a post about the products I discovered and loved the most this year would be very appropriate. 2012 was a great year beauty wise because I managed to discover a lot of products which have now become some of my staples and which I will probably use for years to come. Therefore, here are my top 12 beauty products of 2012!

1. Urban Decay Naked Palette. This is literally the best makeup palette I have ever used. I am a huge fan of natural/ neutral looks so this palette is perfect for me. The eyeshadows have some really beautiful shades and are of great quality.

2. Guerlain Lingerie de Peau foundation. 2012 was the year I've found the perfect foundation for my skin. It fuses so well with  my skin tone, it is really light and it leaves a natural and soft finish.

3. Dior blush in Sunkissed Cinnamon.  Satin texture, peachy bronze shade, beautiful finish...what's not to love about this blush?

4. Benefit They're Real Mascara. I've read mixed reviews about this mascara, so I was really eager to try it. And when I did...I loved it! I didn't find it clumpy at all, it gave my lashes great volume and length while carefully separating them. I will definitely keep repurchasing it.

5. YSL Touch Eclait. Back in summer I gave in and bought my first Touch Eclait and I'm happy I did because I really like it. It brightens by under eye area without making it look cakey or unnatural.

6. Sephora lipstick in shade CO7. I love Sephora lipsticks because they have a very soft and hydrating texture. And since 2012 was a very berry coloured year I couldn't pass the opportunity of buying a lipstick in this particular shade. It has a versatile colour because you can either apply it until your lips look rather dark and intense or you can apply it with your fingers so that you will obtain the "just bitten lips" effect.

7. Bioderma cleanser. This is one great makeup remover, because it cleans the skin really well, it doesn't make my eyes sore and it leaves my face really revitalised and fresh.

8. Flora Gorgeous Gardenia by Gucci. Fragrance wise this year I've fallen in love with this sweet and subtle scent from Gucci.

9. Syoss hair repair mask. I love this hair mask so much. It strengthens my hair a lot and it gives it great texture and volume. I use it once a week or once every other week (depending on my mood and the state of my hair) on wet hair and leave it for only two or three minutes to do its magic.

10. Carmex lip balm. Because I have sensible lips, lip balms are really necessary to me; and in my opinion Carmex is the best lip balm I've ever tried. It's very hydrating and I also use it as a base for my lipstick.

11. Rimmel Soft Kohl eyeliner. This is the best black eyeliner out there, it doesn't smudge, it lasts the whole day and it is really intense.

12. Sally Hansen nail polishes. I'm really happy I've discovered this nail polish brand, because they have a great variety of beautiful shades with a good staying power (my favourite shade so far is Greige Gardens - the one in the above photo).

So these have been my top 12 beauty products which I loved the most this year. I hope you liked this post and you've been inspired to try new products :)

Lots of love x

Holiday Tag

Hello lovelies!

Today I have a fun post for you, namely a holiday tag! I've watched a lot of people doing this tag or similar ones on YouTube and I decided to choose my favourite questions and give it a go since there is so little time left until Christmas and I already feel really festive and joyful! So let's begin, shall we?

1. What do you love most about December?
Obviously, I love Christmas and all the traditions around it! I love putting up the Christmas tree and decorating the house, I love buying presents for my loved ones, spending a lot of time with my family and friends, preparing Christmassy food specialities with my mum...and I love the entire festive atmosphere which is present everywhere, in the city, in the shops and at home :)

2. Which are the three things you can not live without this season?
During the winter season I cannot live without my chunky knits, my favourite pair of boots and a good hydrating hand cream.

3. Which is your favourite perfume to wear during the winter holidays?
During winter I love wearing Miss Dior Cheri, because it has a sophisticated and sweet scent but in the same time it's a bit heavier, perfect for the winter holidays.

4. What is your favourite winter nail polish?
I'm oscillating between Essie's "Merino Cool", a gorgeous purple grayish shade, and OPI's "Lincoln Park at Midnight", which has been my favourite winter nail polish for the past two or three years.

5. What is your favourite winter lip product?
It has to be the moisturising lip balm from Carmex! It's perfect for the cold season because it is highly moisturising and it protects your lips from the cold. I always have it in my bag since I like using it everyday.

6. What is your favourite winter clothing piece?
I think it has to be my winter navy jacket from Zara. It's so warm and the fur collar and the golden details make it look so chic!

7. What is your most worn winter accessory?
I can't choose only one, thus I have to pick two accessories: a dusty pink snood from New Look and my trilby hat from Accessorize.

8. What is your favourite winter scent/ candle?
Vanilla scented candles :D

9. What is your favourite winter beverage?
Hot chocolate! I love snuggling in bed with a hot cup of hot chocolate while watching my favourite holiday movies.

10. What is your favourite holiday/ Christmas movie?
My all time favourite holiday movie has to be "Love Actually"; I've been watching it every holiday season for the past four or five years. It always puts me in such a happy mood. But I also love watching "Chalet Girl" and "The Holiday" :D

11. What is your favourite Christmas song?
It's a close fight, but my favourite Christmas song is Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas". Other Christmas songs I enjoy listening to are Chris Rhea's "Driving Home for Christmas" and Wham's "Last Christmas".

12. What is your favourite holiday food/ treats?
I don't think I have just one favourite food. I love all the Romanian traditional Christmas specialities since they are all so delicious! As for my favourite treats, I love to eat gingerbread and chocolate :)

13. What is on the top of your Christmas list this year?
I've already written to Santa, so the big guy knows my wishlist :))

I tag everybody who liked this tag and wants to do it, especially Leanne and Steph! Please leave the links to your tags in the comments box below since I would love to read your answers! x

Obsessed Much? Tan Riding Boots Take 2

Hello girls! Since December is gift month, I decided to dedicate today's post to my newest pair of tan riding boots. Yes, I know I've just bought another similar pair less than one month ago. And yes, I know I have an obsession. In fact, I think that my boots obsession has overcome my bag obsession. But to my defence, before you start judging me and say how out of control I am, this was an early Christmas present. Since I was in Brussels and knowing how hard I usually find a pair of boots which I love, I gave in and decided to buy this gorgeous pair. And I don't regret buying them because I absolutely love them, they are very qualitative and I know I will be waring them years in a row. They are from a store called Ken Shoe Fashion (here is their website  if you are interested), but unfortunately I believe that their stores are located only in Belgium. Thus, if you ever go there, be sure to check these shoe stores because you will love their designs.

Going back to the stars of this post, they have the softest leather and I love the golden buckle details. I also love the fact that they don't have zippers, and the fact that they are just below the knee (in case you didn't notice, I adore knee-high boots). I don't know why but I don't quite like boots with zippers; I mean I used to have boots with zippers, and I still have a pair or two, but I always preferred those without. I think this is my favourite pair of boots ever and I am so glad I bought them because I know I will wear them loads! Below I posted some pictures of them and some of me wearing them so you can see how they look on the leg. You can also check my latest outfit post where I am wearing them.

Lucky you Belgian people for having this store! Anyway, I hope you like them and please understand I was not trying to brag! I am just really excited because I managed to find a pair of boots I love so much and I just wanted to share my enthusiasm with you lovely people :)

Until next time, take care x

Christmas Gift Guide

Can you believe that December is already here? I can't believe we are only a few weeks away from Christmas! And since we are all looking for the perfect Christmas gift for our dear ones, I though that I should dedicate this post entirely to Christmas gift ideas for all budgets. So sit comfortably and go through the selection of gifts I've put below because you might just find the perfect gift idea for your mum, sister or best friend!

1. Ciate Caviar Limited Edition Manicure - £18 from ASOS (but I've also seen it at Sephora). This year has been all about statement nails, so why not buy your sister or best friend a kit for the most amazing party nails?

2. Accessorize wallet - £17 here or at your local Accessorize store. I think that an elegant wallet makes a perfect gift. I chose this one due to its lovely blush shade and the golden bow detail.

3. Make-up palettes - What girl doesn't love make-up palettes with countless options to choose from when creating the most interesting looks?

Sephora limited edition make-up palette (around 25 Euros) - you can find this in pretty much any Sephora out there.

Sleek "Oh So Special" make-up palette (around 10 Euros). My Romanian readers can find this palette on  The Makeup Shop

Too Faced limited edition palette - £19.00 from ASOS, but you can also find it in Sephora

Stila Limited Edition Large Snowflake Eye Shadow Palette With FREE Mascara - £29.50 from ASOS

4. "Courtesan " from Amazon. I already did a short review of this book a few months ago, so if you saw it, you probably know how much I enjoyed reading this book. It is beautifully written and it will keep you on the edge of your sits until the last pages. And what woman doesn't enjoy a wonderful love story like the one between the famous courtesan Diane de Poitiers and Henry II of France? (for my Romanian readers, you can find this book at your local Diverta)

5. Love jumper - £40 from Inlovewithfashion. What other colours scream festive season than white and red. This jumper from Love is a great option to wear not only on Christmas Day or during the festive season but also in the months to come since it has such a beautiful girlie design and it's so soft and comfortable.

6. Clarins skin care kit (around 45 Euros). I think that skin care kits are a great gift for our mums and not only, because what women does not want to have perfect looking skin? Again, you can find skin care kits from a multitude of brands in your local Sephora.

 7. The perfect party dress - £48 pounds from Topshop. If I were to receive the perfect dress for the upcoming Christmas parties or New Year's Eve, this would be it. The design and the embroidery are wonderful and I think that this is the type of black dress you will wear for years to come.

 8. Nina Ricci perfume set (around 60 Euros). Whether you choose to buy just the perfume or an entire set, any girl would love to receive her favourite fragrance for Christmas. You can find these types of sets in every Sephora or online.

9.  Pandora bracelet - For the ones with a bigger Christmas budget, a Pandora bracelet would be an amazing gift to offer to your girlfriend or your sister. The idea behind Pandora jewellery is really interesting and the charms are all beautifully designed.

10. The perfect black bag. I literally don't know a single woman who doesn't love bags. So if your budget allows you, a classic black leather bag would be the perfect gift for those bag obsessed ladies out there. You can find this one here.

So these were my suggestions for the perfect Christmas gifts; needless to say, these are only some ideas meant to inspire you, I did not try to imply that you should buy exactly the gifts I've mention above since there are many other things you can buy for Christmas.

I hope you've enjoyed this post and if you have some other gift suggestions please leave them in the comments box below so I can read them and get inspired! Happy Christmas shopping everyone!

November Through My Phone

Hello loves! As November is coming to an end I decided to show you how this month has been for me by means of the pictures I managed to snap with my phone during these past weeks. November has been a great and extremely busy month for me. I just love months like this when I always have something to do because I am full of energy and I have the feeling that I am not waisting any moment of my life. It's a great feeling and I wish more months could be like this!

I couldn't start the month without a trip to the countryside to visit my adorable cats. I am a major cat lover and I enjoy spending time with these two little monsters so much.

My favourite makeup products this month// My first Pandora bracelet which my boyfrind bought me as a present for my nameday this month

Getting off the plane in Brussels// Eating mussels with fries; this is a traditional dish in Belgium yum!

Christmas has already came in Brussels! Many of the sweet shops were beautifully decorated as seen above x

Some of the gorgeous gowns exhibited at the Costume Museum in Brussels

Delicious dishes I ate at a gorgeous restaurant in Brussels called Drug Opera; left: Cordon Bleu and right: salmon fillet with Bearnaise sauce

New winter coat from Zara (ignore the dumb face). I love the golden details and the furry collar// My first Bioderma bottle; I'm really excited to try it!

The December issue of British Glamour// Santa came early for me with this amazing new pair of tan boots; I don't want to take them off!

Leonidas chocolates, the most delicious chocolates in the world!// I wanted to buy this book written by Catherine Delors from the moment I've read Melanie's review on her blog, although I don't understand why they've given it such a cheesy title in Romanian (Love and Blood). The original title is Mistress of the Revolution and yes, the action is set on the eve of the French Revolution :D Can't wait to read it!

That's it for my November round up! I hope you also had a beautiful month and that the month to come will be filled with wonderful and special moments! x

Today I like...

....Belle Époque style! A few day ago I came across this gorgeous photograph of a lady dressed in a wonderful Belle Époque gown. I think that this is my favourite period costumewise because I have never seen such elegant and sophisticated gowns as those created during the Belle Époque. Hmmmm I predict this is going to be the start of an endless search for tons of books and articles regarding this amazing historical period!

NOTD - Essie "Merino Cool"

During my trip to Brussels I bought my first Essie nail polish and I chose this purple grayish number. It's a great shade for autumn/ winter, very glossy, with a staying power of around five days without chipping. Personally, I love purple nail polishes for all seasons because I think they look great on the nails and "Merino Cool" from Essie makes no exception. I have two coats on my nails in the pictures below and as you can see they are enough to obtain an opaque shade. However, in case you want the colour to be even more intense, you can apply another coat without fearing that it would look too thick. All in all, a lovely nail polish which has quickly become one of my favourite shades for the cold season!

What do you think? What's you favourite autumn/ winter nail polishes? x

My Favourite Outfit

It's that time of the year again, the time of OOTDs shot indoors because a) it gets dark at 5 p.m. when people are usually still at work, and b) it's freezing cold outside to take photos in just a jumper/ shirt/ dress. So, from now on, please excuse the "interesting" decor :) I should also add that I'm soooo self-conscious when it comes to taking outfit pics outside because I am too shy and I feel like everybody is staring and judging me, so in a way I prefer indoor pics, even though they are less interesting. Anyway, looking at these photos I've noticed that my face looks kind of weird (I look so bored and tired) and I don't know why. Maybe I'm not a photogenic person when it comes to indoor pics? But I don't mind it that much since the focus should be on the clothes; so just ignore my weird facial expressions :))

Moving on now, to the real reason of this post, this is one of my favourite outfits for winter...very comfortable yet a bit chic, don't you think? My favourite piece from this outfit are the tan boots. Where should I start describing how much I love them? I know I bought a new pair less than a month ago, but I saw this super gorgeous pair during my trip to Brussels and I thought I should treat myself to an early Christmas present. But more about them in a future post where I will tell you all about them. The jumper is another purchase from Brussels and it is now one of my favourite jumpers because it has a lovely colour, an interesting design with a lower back and it is sewed with a metallic thread. The bag is around three years old but it's still one of my favourites and the snood seems to be the perfect choice for these cold days. All in all, a very comfortable outfit in which I feel great! Hope you like it!

Snood - New Look
Jumper - New Look
Bag- Peek and Cloppenburg (old)
Jeggins - Zara
Boots - Ken shoes (Brussels)

What do you think? What is your to go outfit this season? x

Brussels, my love

Hello girls! Long time no speak, I know, but I have been really busy this month, hence the lack of posts. But here I am again, with a special post no less :) If you follow me on twitter you probably know that I've been in Brussels for the past week...and I enjoyed it tremendously. Technically, it was a business trip, but thankfully for me my company didn't need my help as much as I though, hence I had loads of free time to visit the city, eat delicious Belgian specialities and hit the shops. So, it was more of a mini-vacation and I had such a beautiful time there! If you ever have the chance to go to Brussels, don't hesitate, because even though you don't have loads of places to visit, you will be impressed by the beautiful architecture, the nice museums, the delicious food and the relaxing atmosphere. I think that Brussels it's a great destination if you are considering going on a city break.

I think that my favourite places in Brussels were the Grand Place (gorgeous architecture) and the Costume Museum (ok ok, the street full of shops -Rue Neuve - was pretty amazing too).  It was the first time I've visited a museum which exhibits garments from the 18th and 19th century and I enjoyed it so much. The gowns were simply incredible! As far as the food is concerned, you have to try the waffles. I've never in my life eaten such delicious waffles. After all, they are a Belgian speciality! Also, the fish and mussels were really good as well, and I should probably mention that almost every dish was served with fries (some of the best fries I've ever tried). All in all, I had a beautiful time in Brussels and I would definitely go there again! Below I am going to show you some of the photos I took during my trip :)

Grand Place

Palais Royal

European Parliament

Sooo tired...

St. Michael's Cathedral

That's it for now! I really hope you enjoyed this post x
