Style Crush

I never thought I'd say this...but I think I have a style crush on Pippa M. As I told you in a previous post, I don't quite understand all the fuss around her or people's obsession with her, but this can't stop me from appreciating her personal style. Although her style from a few years ago wasn't exactly my cup of tea, I must admit that lately she has been wearing some lovely pieces. I know that a lot of people consider her style as being rather dull or too simple, but I think that this simplicity gives so much charm to her outfits. I really think that less is more and although I do like to experiment with my clothes from time to time, I have to say that I'm a fan of simple and feminine outfits.

These are my favourite outfits from her recent outings. I really like the fact that she prefers classic pieces that will never go out of fashion. As I said in my previous posts, I think we should invest more in classic, staple pieces. I sound like an old lady, don't I? :))

What's your style crush?

Flower Power

Hello girls!

I can't believe it's finally weekend! I had such a busy week at work and at uni and I'm so happy that it's all over...for now. I can't wait to relaaaax!

Today, after classes, my boy came to pick me up and he had a little surprise for me: a gorgeous flower bouquet! He knows that I absolutely adore flowers and how happy it makes me to receive a flower bouquet, especially when there is no special occasion...for example just because it's Friday :) I previously told him how much I loved the combination between yellow and purple and surprisingly he remembered it and bought me some gorgeous autumn flowers in the above mentioned colours.

Also, a few days ago, while going to work I saw a woman selling some beautiful autumn flowers and I couldn't help myself and bought four bouquets :)) I don't know about you but flowers put an instant smile on my face and they brighten up my day anytime! I love having flowers in my room or in the house all the time.

So, first of all here are the pics from this evening. I've been wearing this trench coat like crazy for the past two weeks because I simply love it! It's such a classic piece! Also, I can't believe how huge my bag look in the pics...I know it is big because it has to carry all my stuff from work plus uni, but I don't see it as being THAT big :))

Trench coat - Zara
Scarf - H&M
Black leather bag - Peek and Cloppenburg
Ballet flats - Hogl

Second of all, here are a few pics with my lovely flowers. They cheer me up every morning when I wake up :)

Aren't they gorgeous? I basically don't have any more vases left without flowers...but I'm so not complaining :)

Have a great weekend!

New trench coat!

Hello girls!

I don't know about you guys, but autumn seems to be the season when I shop the most. And this is a funny thing considering that I absolutely dislike cold weather. But in terms of clothing I think that autumn and winter offer us a great variety of pieces of clothing, from coats and jumpers to dresses, scarves and boots. Also with such a great number of pieces of clothing the combinations for different outfits are endless. See, cold weather has it's bright side :)

Until now I didn't buy so many stuff for the cold season, partly because the weather has been very hot for this period and partly because I'm trying to limit my shopping to basic or classic pieces of clothing that will not go out of trend after a season or two. I confess that this resolution of mine doesn't always work but at least I'm really willing to stick to it (most of the time)!

Anyway,  on Friday I went shopping because I was searching for a shorter trench coat and luckily for me I managed to find it at Zara. The quality is great and I think it's a good value for the money I paid.

It's such a classic piece and I love love love it! And it has the perfect length for my high :) Success! Also it is perfect for this horrible cold and rainy weather.

Until next time,
lots of kisses!

These boots were made for walking...to the movies

Hello chéries!

I hope you had a lovely weekend! Fortunately for me, this weekend I finally had the time to rest after a pretty busy week. The weather outside was horrible (very cold and rainy brrr) so I decided to spend most of my weekend indoors. Except going to the movies on Saturday night with my boyfriend, I didn't do anything really exciting. We went to see the screening of the latest version of The Three Musketeers. I can't say that it blew me away but it was a nice & fun movie and I enjoyed watching it. I personally prefer the 1993 version to this one because the story is better told and the accent falls more on the plot and on the characters than in this new version where the emphasis is more on the special effects and on the action scenes. This  movie rather tells an old story in a modern way, so don't expect it to be completely faithful to the book or to the historical period in witch the action takes place. But like I said, it is a fun movie to watch :)

I also wanted to show you my outfit  from last night. With the nasty weather outside I finally had the chance to wear my beloved tan boots. I really wanted to feel very comfortable so I paired them with a cozy cardigan, a knitted top and jeans.

Boots - Zara
Cardigan - Mango
Knitted top - Mango
Jeans - Miss Sixty
Bag - Nine West

I really hope that the weather will get better soon because I just can't stand the cold. It makes me want to stay in bed all day :)

I wish you a great start of the week and I'll talk to you very soon!

Today's inspiration & rainy day ramblings

Hello cupcakes!

I hope this nasty weather isn't spoiling your week! I personally hate cold rainy days because they tend to affect my mood; I don't know about you guys, but on these days I feel sleepy, grumpy and bored and I feel like staying indoors rather than going out. This is why in the past few days all I did, except going to work and university, was read lots of magazines, check out my favourite blogs and watch Downton Abbey (I absolutely love the series). And to make the atmosphere more cozy in my room I even bought a few scented candles (lavender and wild cranberries!) because I think they can help you relax so much more!

Unfortunately, from what I've heard the weather will continue to be cold so I've already planned some wardrobe reorganization (out with my last summer clothes and in with autumn/winter clothes) and a small (or big?) shopping spree because I need to buy some stuff ( I really want a trench coat and a few accessories).

Moving on now :) A few days ago I was surfing Glamour's website and found a picture of Pippa Middleton dressed in different shades of brown. Even though I'm not a fan of extreme colour coordination I must admit I really liked the way she matched her clothes and how everything looked on her. I love the dress and how she accentuated her waist with the skinny belt; I really like her signature Modalu bag and her tan boots, but maybe I'm just subjective because I have a similar pair :)) .
I have to say I'm not Pippa's biggest fan because I really don't understand all the hype around her, but  I have to admit that most of the times she has a beautiful style and she can look effortlessly chic.

P.S. how cute is the little pidgin? :X

Until next time, lots of kisses!

Tan Leather Boots (finally!)

Hello lovelies!

Breaking news! I found the perfect pair of tan boots! :)) Sorry guys, but I'm so excited when I finally find something I wanted so badly! I've been looking for a nice pair of tan boots for over a month but I just couldn't find one...I mean there were tan boots but not what I wanted because they were either too chunky or with too many buckles. And I wanted something classic that would go perfectly both with a pair of jeans and with a dress or a skirt.
So this week after work I popped into Zara to see what was new and bang!...a pair of gorgeous tan leather boots was there (waiting for me of course)! They fitted perfectly and looked great on my leg (they even made me look a bit taller hurray!). Therefore, I bought them and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! I rarely find a boot that suits me this well. They have a gorgeous model and I think they will be a huge hit and a lot of people will buy them.
I think that deep down inside I knew that Zara would rescue me again!  I know I may sound so melodramatic but I'm sure that I'm not the only one who gets so excited when finding something I really wanted for so long. It's in women's DNA so there's nothing we can do about it, is there now? :)
So without further rambling here are THE BOOTS:

I really like the zip at the back because I think this detail gives them a particular charm.  I also love the fact that their colour is sort of a reddish brown and not a beige brown because it makes them stand out more. I think they will look great with everything and I can't wait to wear them!

Do you have any favourite pair of boots?

Lots of kisses

NOTD - Percolated Pink

Today I have a quick NOTD for you, guys. The nail polish which I'm going to show you is from Max Factor, shade  no. 732 "Percolated Pink" from their nailfinity range . This is one of my favourite colours of all time and I have been repurchasing it ever since it appeared one or two years ago. I simply love the colour...it's a dusty pink and you can wear it no matter the season you're in. It love the fact that it looks so elegant on my nails but also the fact that it has a good staying power of almost a week. Moreover it comes with a nice price tag too. It costs around 7 euros and bearing in mind its lasting power, the good quality, the nice shine and the lovely colour it's not much at all.

This is one nail polish I'll definitely keep repurchasing because I absolutely like everything about it!

Lots of kisses

Balea "Trend It Up" Dry Shampoo Review

Hello girls!

Today I want to talk to you about Balea "Trend It Up" Dry Shampoo. This is the first dry shampoo I've ever tried, but I love it. It's super easy to use and the results are great.
I wash my hair every three days so in its third day it tends to be a little greasy and most of the times I have to tie it in a pony tail or braid it. Therefore when I heard about this dry shampoo from a fellow blogger I couldn't wait to get my hands on it!
The product claims to revitalize your hair, reduce the sebum and the bad smell. Moreover, you can win up to one day without washing it.

My opinion
Fortunately, the product does what it claims. It reduces the sebum and adds a bit of volume, therefore the hair looks revitalized. It also has a fresh but discreet smell, which is good because you're not going to feel dizzy after using it. I still wash my hair in its third day but at least it looks decent throughout the day. Also it has a small price tag, less than 3 euros. A total bargain because I love the product and I really recommend it! Whenever you want to revitalize your hair or you don't feel like washing it, this dry shampoo is the answer! However, don't exaggerate and use it more than one day because it can have a reversed effect. Also, you better use it when your hair starts to look greasy and not when it's really greasy because I don't think it will have any effect at all.

How to use it
After diving your hair in strands, spray the product over them, especially at the roots and less towards the ends because it can dry your hair a bit. You will notice that the shampoo will leave some white powder when you apply it, and this is why you have to wipe it with a towel or simply massage it so that you spread the product through your hair.

I hope this review was helpful :)

Until next time, lots of kisses!

Braided beauty

Who said that only people can have their hair did? Yesterday I met a charming young (horse) lady who had her hair did for a very special event she had to go to and eventually participate in. It was a horse show competition of course and this young lady is not your typical beauty salon client.

We should take some hair tips from this lovely lady, don't you think? After all, horses are the inventors of the pony tail, aren't they? :)

A little treat for the braided lady because she was so beautiful and nice and stylish!
(I had to crop this pic because I'm not sure that my friend would have appreciated the idea of me putting a pic of her on this blog)

Therefore, as if it isn't already obvious, I went to a horse show competition again this weekend and it was great and very exciting! I didn't get the chance to take many pics but I did manage to capture this very unique horse hair style :)

I also snapped a quick OOTD pic before I left the house for the competition. I absolutely love this blouse which I bought this summer and I love how it looks with the denim vest. Unfortunately my camera didn't manage to capture quite clearly the ruffle of the blouse but you can see it better in the above pic. I know I should probably invest in a new camera but this one has so much sentimental value since it has been my companion in all my trips for quite a few years. I'm pretty conservative about my stuff :))

Blouse - United Colors of Benetton
Denim vest - Mango
Jeans - Miss Sixty
Bag - Nine West
Flats - Deichmann

Have a great start of the week!

Afternoon at the museum

This weekend I felt like a character from "Night at the Museum" because I went to visit the newly reopened Museum of Natural History and all the exhibits felt so incredibly alive. I felt like a child again as I was walking through the halls filled with exhibits from all around the world. When I was little, my dad used to take me quite often to this museum...it was one of my favourite places :) I am very happy with how it looks right now, it's a lot more modern, with much more information and more exhibits...and there were so many people visiting the museum; there was even a big queue at the entrance, and honestly, nowadays you don't see queues at museums quite often, do you? I'm glad the reopening was such a success!
Anyway, it was a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Now I'm gonna show you a few pics from the museum (btw I know that some of my pics have the date and time on them and I know how some people find it annoying but I prefer to leave them there because in this way I'll always know when the pics were taken; silly, I know :)).

That's it guys, I hope you had a lovely weekend too! Talk to you soon :)
