PhoneCam Style Post

Hello sweeties! I really need your opinion on something. As you know, I love fashion and outfit posts, but unfortunately I don't always have the time or mood for proper style posts, shot on location or in high quality. This is why some of my outfit posts are sometimes shot with my phone in my bedroom and my background consists of my bed or my desk or other boring interiors.  Thus, I was thinking that if it's OK with you, I could do more outfit posts shot with my phone, like this one. I know the quality is really poor, but at least there would hopefully be more style posts on the blog. Or would you prefer me to do the regular, more qualitative ones, even though they will be really seldom? I would really appreciate your feedback, so please tell me what you think in the comments box below.

Jumper - Love
Bowling bag with zips - Zara
Jeggins - Zara

Back to the purpose of this post, this is the outfit I wore a couple of days ago to the movies. I love this heart jumper because besides being a bit on the festive side thanks to its colours, it is also very comfortable and fun. I couldn't resist leaving my new bag at home because I was eager to take it out for a spin since I like it sooo much. I love the fact that it has an additional shoulder strap so that you can wear it on your shoulder if it gets too heavy. Inevitably, it seems that I have another bag crush. Shocking, I know...

Anyway, that's it from me now. I hope you are all doing wonderful and you've already written your new year's resolutions! Lots of love x

First Day of Spring

Happy 1st of March! Spring is finally here (at least according to the calendar) and even though there is still snow here and there and the temperatures aren't very high, at least winter is over and the weather will only get better and better! I can't wait to stroll among blossomed trees and beautiful spring flowers, such as tulips, freesias and hyacinths... I can't wait for sunny days and light clothes (bring in the dresses, blazers, skirts and sandals)! I can't be the only one who is this excited, can I? :P

Today's post is not about something specific but about a mixture of random things. So first and foremost, let me offer you (at least virtually) a little symbol of spring and some beautiful flowers and wish you a colourful spring full of joy!

Since it is officially spring I wanted to put some pictures with a few spring/ summer dresses like some sort of preview for what we will finally be able to wear in a hopefully short while after months of jumpers and coats!  Just look at those flowy materials and beautiful prints!

(the first two are from Topshop and the last two from Dorothy Perkins)

Lastly, I wanted to show you some funny looking walnuts I made for my neighbour's niece on her 3rd birthday. They are part of a much more elaborated design, but my task was to create their heads and I'm proud of what it came out (yes, I am aware that a 5 year old could also do that but that doesn't make me less proud :)) )

That's it from me. I know this was a rather random post but I just wanted to say a few things just to mark the beginning of spring!

Have a beautiful spring everyone!

Take care x

Just....plain random

Hello boys and girls! I hoped you had a pleasant weekend somewhere warm and sunny. It's snowing in my beloved Bucharest....again! For the 100th time in the past 3 weeks!!! I'm so fed up with all the cold and snow (yes, I know I'm moaning again about the weather but it's absolutely horrible). For the past weeks the word "style" is not in my vocabulary anymore. All I've been wearing lately are Uggs and jumpers since it is impossible to wear something else given the circumstances. I'm so bored to wear the same stuff over and over again while my beloved shirts, dresses and boots are resting in my closet. Damn you crappy weather!

Sorry guys, but I had to get that out of my system :)) Since OOTDs are out of the question because there's nothing interesting about Uggs and jumpers, I must bore you with a random post about Ikea. I was looking for some decorations and since I had nothing better do do at home or anywhere else, I decided to browse the store a bit. I fell madly in love with some bedroom furniture and a vanity table but since at the moment I don't have where to store any of them, all I can do is dream about my perfect house where I can cram everything I want :)

Gorgeous! The perfect bedroom :)

This is the vanity I've fallen in love with. So simple and elegant

Even in Ikea, there were hearts everywhere :))

This is a lace dress I've found over at Peek & Cloppenburg. I don't know whether to buy it or not...my bf said it looked like a drapery :)) But I still like it a lot. Any advice?

So these were today's highlights. Yesterday I've browsed all day the web page of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and I've found some beautiful and interesting things. This is why my next few posts are going to be rather different from the usual ones. I'm going to surprise you with something truly beautiful and amazing.

Take care x

Ramblings from the North Pole

Hello lovelies! What have been up to lately? The weather in Bucharest is awful, there are -15 degrees outside and it's snowing...again! It is horrible, it feels as if I were living in the North Pole! Today, while I was going to work I had the impression that I was going to turn into Frosty the Snowman. And I heard that the worst is still to come...

Fortunately, I'm home now where is nice and warm, but the downside is that I have to study for my last exam which is tomorrow (I still have another 2 essays for next week, but at least no more studying after tomorrow!!)

However, right now I'm relaxing a bit while reading one of my favourite magazines.

I'm so happy that tomorrow everything is going to end (for the next 4 months); I just hope that after the exam I'm going to be just as happy and positive as I am today :D

There's not much more to say now, since all I did these past few weeks was study, write projects, moan about the weather and freezing my butt off.

Ah, yes, there was one little interesting thing I did do this week: I went to buy my mother a present for her birthday, but I also ended up buying some cosmetic bits and bobs for myself (helpless, I know). I'll probably talk about them in one of my future posts since I was so happy to finally found some of the things I bought.

One more article and I'm off to studying!

Xoxo

Quick Hello!

Hello everyone!

It's been almost a month since I last posted, but I guess I was in a post-holiday depression :)) I mean it was great during the Christmas period, I had a lot of fun, but after the whole thing was over I had many projects for uni since thevery first day...sad times. I still have a lot of uni work but this weekend I decided not to do anything. It is more like the calm before the real storm of exams and project begins :(

So today I just wanted to say a quick hello and post a few pics from my brief trip to Sighisoara, where I spent New Year's Eve. It's a gorgeous city and it is the only medieval fortress in the world which is still inhabited.

I hope everybody had a great time during the holidays and that the new year will be filled with happy and special moments!

Today's inspiration & rainy day ramblings

Hello cupcakes!

I hope this nasty weather isn't spoiling your week! I personally hate cold rainy days because they tend to affect my mood; I don't know about you guys, but on these days I feel sleepy, grumpy and bored and I feel like staying indoors rather than going out. This is why in the past few days all I did, except going to work and university, was read lots of magazines, check out my favourite blogs and watch Downton Abbey (I absolutely love the series). And to make the atmosphere more cozy in my room I even bought a few scented candles (lavender and wild cranberries!) because I think they can help you relax so much more!

Unfortunately, from what I've heard the weather will continue to be cold so I've already planned some wardrobe reorganization (out with my last summer clothes and in with autumn/winter clothes) and a small (or big?) shopping spree because I need to buy some stuff ( I really want a trench coat and a few accessories).

Moving on now :) A few days ago I was surfing Glamour's website and found a picture of Pippa Middleton dressed in different shades of brown. Even though I'm not a fan of extreme colour coordination I must admit I really liked the way she matched her clothes and how everything looked on her. I love the dress and how she accentuated her waist with the skinny belt; I really like her signature Modalu bag and her tan boots, but maybe I'm just subjective because I have a similar pair :)) .
I have to say I'm not Pippa's biggest fan because I really don't understand all the hype around her, but  I have to admit that most of the times she has a beautiful style and she can look effortlessly chic.

P.S. how cute is the little pidgin? :X

Until next time, lots of kisses!

Tan Leather Boots (finally!)

Hello lovelies!

Breaking news! I found the perfect pair of tan boots! :)) Sorry guys, but I'm so excited when I finally find something I wanted so badly! I've been looking for a nice pair of tan boots for over a month but I just couldn't find one...I mean there were tan boots but not what I wanted because they were either too chunky or with too many buckles. And I wanted something classic that would go perfectly both with a pair of jeans and with a dress or a skirt.
So this week after work I popped into Zara to see what was new and bang!...a pair of gorgeous tan leather boots was there (waiting for me of course)! They fitted perfectly and looked great on my leg (they even made me look a bit taller hurray!). Therefore, I bought them and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! I rarely find a boot that suits me this well. They have a gorgeous model and I think they will be a huge hit and a lot of people will buy them.
I think that deep down inside I knew that Zara would rescue me again!  I know I may sound so melodramatic but I'm sure that I'm not the only one who gets so excited when finding something I really wanted for so long. It's in women's DNA so there's nothing we can do about it, is there now? :)
So without further rambling here are THE BOOTS:

I really like the zip at the back because I think this detail gives them a particular charm.  I also love the fact that their colour is sort of a reddish brown and not a beige brown because it makes them stand out more. I think they will look great with everything and I can't wait to wear them!

Do you have any favourite pair of boots?

Lots of kisses

Afternoon at the museum

This weekend I felt like a character from "Night at the Museum" because I went to visit the newly reopened Museum of Natural History and all the exhibits felt so incredibly alive. I felt like a child again as I was walking through the halls filled with exhibits from all around the world. When I was little, my dad used to take me quite often to this museum...it was one of my favourite places :) I am very happy with how it looks right now, it's a lot more modern, with much more information and more exhibits...and there were so many people visiting the museum; there was even a big queue at the entrance, and honestly, nowadays you don't see queues at museums quite often, do you? I'm glad the reopening was such a success!
Anyway, it was a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Now I'm gonna show you a few pics from the museum (btw I know that some of my pics have the date and time on them and I know how some people find it annoying but I prefer to leave them there because in this way I'll always know when the pics were taken; silly, I know :)).

That's it guys, I hope you had a lovely weekend too! Talk to you soon :)

Everyday Obsessions

Does it ever happen to you to get obsessed over one thing and feel that you desperately need it in your life even though deep down inside you know that you can perfectly live without it? It surely happens to me! Probably you don't know what  I mean...but maybe some of you have experienced this unhealthy habit :D

What can I say, a few times a year I get obsessed over one item and for a couple of days I act all crazy because I fell I have to own that certain item or else my life is incomplete. Oh the tragedy, right? Whether it's a piece of clothing or a beauty product (and even though I know it's not a necessity), I simply get obsessed over it and try to do everything I can to obtain it. If only we could act like this in every aspect of our lives...wouldn't that be great?

So my latest obsession is a cute bag from eBay. I simply love it and it's not even expensive. But I need a paypal account to order it...and I don't have one. Why not make one then, right? Well, I don't know if I can be bothered to make this account only for the purchase of a freakin' bag. And I don't know anyone who has such an account. I guess it's not meant to be. This will be the one that got away :( OMG, I sound so tragic!

(my obsession looks similar to the bag in the pic)

Well, I hope that a miracle will happen and I'll manage to get it in the end. If not, I'll find another thing to obsess about :)) I guess we all have our annoying habits and we all need to get obsessed over something at one point (or more) in our lives.

I know that some of you will understand me, the rest...please don't judge too harshly, ok? :P

Enough with the ramblings for today...

Take care,

Pandora

Hello World!

I’m Pandora (obviously this is not my real name, I just like to use this nickname for my blog) and I decided to start a blog where I can ramble about everything that interests me, from fashion and beauty to books and travel destinations and so on. I used to have another blog, but due to some unfortunate circumstances I decided to close it, but as you can see I couldn’t stay away from blogging too long. So here I am again, rambling about all sorts of stuff…again. The thing that annoyed me the most in my previous blogging experience was the negativity of people and their rudeness. Basically, if you have an interest in fashion, you are either a snob who likes to brag and offend people, or you are a dumb bimbo. Well, I’m neither of those and I’m sure that other girls who have some gorgeous beauty/fashion blogs aren’t either. I just don’t get it…how people can find joy in offending others. As far as I am concerned, if you don’t like my blog, don’t read it. It’s as simple as that. There’s no need for negativity or mean words.

Now, enough with this subject, because I’m becoming too melodramatic; I just had to get this out of my system :)) Soooo, back to my blog, I really want to do something beautiful with it; I don’t know if anybody is going to read it or not, or if you’re going to like it or not, but I want to create some sort of special, positive place, where I can ramble on and on about things I like, without being criticized for it if possible (man, I’m really traumatized :P ) .

That’s about it for now. Byeee
