First Day of Spring

Happy 1st of March! Spring is finally here (at least according to the calendar) and even though there is still snow here and there and the temperatures aren't very high, at least winter is over and the weather will only get better and better! I can't wait to stroll among blossomed trees and beautiful spring flowers, such as tulips, freesias and hyacinths... I can't wait for sunny days and light clothes (bring in the dresses, blazers, skirts and sandals)! I can't be the only one who is this excited, can I? :P

Today's post is not about something specific but about a mixture of random things. So first and foremost, let me offer you (at least virtually) a little symbol of spring and some beautiful flowers and wish you a colourful spring full of joy!

Since it is officially spring I wanted to put some pictures with a few spring/ summer dresses like some sort of preview for what we will finally be able to wear in a hopefully short while after months of jumpers and coats!  Just look at those flowy materials and beautiful prints!

(the first two are from Topshop and the last two from Dorothy Perkins)

Lastly, I wanted to show you some funny looking walnuts I made for my neighbour's niece on her 3rd birthday. They are part of a much more elaborated design, but my task was to create their heads and I'm proud of what it came out (yes, I am aware that a 5 year old could also do that but that doesn't make me less proud :)) )

That's it from me. I know this was a rather random post but I just wanted to say a few things just to mark the beginning of spring!

Have a beautiful spring everyone!

Take care x

Style Crush

I never thought I'd say this...but I think I have a style crush on Pippa M. As I told you in a previous post, I don't quite understand all the fuss around her or people's obsession with her, but this can't stop me from appreciating her personal style. Although her style from a few years ago wasn't exactly my cup of tea, I must admit that lately she has been wearing some lovely pieces. I know that a lot of people consider her style as being rather dull or too simple, but I think that this simplicity gives so much charm to her outfits. I really think that less is more and although I do like to experiment with my clothes from time to time, I have to say that I'm a fan of simple and feminine outfits.

These are my favourite outfits from her recent outings. I really like the fact that she prefers classic pieces that will never go out of fashion. As I said in my previous posts, I think we should invest more in classic, staple pieces. I sound like an old lady, don't I? :))

What's your style crush?

Romantic all the way

Hello chéries :)

Today was a special day for my and my boyfriend because it was our second anniversary and we chose to celebrate it by going  to a very cute and fancy restaurant where we had a lovely dinner. We still have great weather here, therefore I was able to wear my favourite dress of all times. It was a birthday present and I've been wearing it like crazy all summer. I like how versatile is it because you can wear it not only on special occasions but also for a walk in the park or when you go out for a drink with some friends and you can take it even to work; it all depends on how you choose to accessorize it. It is also very comfortable and I absolutely love both the print and its lovely colours. I simply love love love it!
Because this evening I wanted to go for a romantic look (fit for the occasion :P) I chose to wear it with a pair of nude pumps and with my favourite summer bag.

Dress - Rare (ASOS)
Shoes - Humanic
Bag - Nissa

Have a great weekend!
