Today I like...

...This gorgeous beige cross body bag from River Island. I think its design looks like a combination between Rebecca Minkoff and Balenciaga. Love it! You can find it here.

Bag Perfection

You probably know by now how much I love small sized bags. And when I found this gem on Zara's website it was love at first sight. It has a beautiful structural design, a long chain strap which means you can wear it also across your body, and  you can dress it up or down depending on the occasion. As I said...perfection in a bag :)

Indian Summer Nights

Happy 1st of October, I hope this is going to be an amazing month for all of us! At the moment we are experiencing some sort of a heatwave in Bucharest with temperatures of 30 degrees. I never thought I would be wearing shorts in October and other summary clothes but our weather never ceases to amaze us. I must say I absolutely love this weather but in a way I miss those chilly autumn days and my autumn wardrobe.

Anyway, this is what I wore a few days ago to a lovely Lebanese dinner. I know these are not the best of outfit pics but since you can have dinner only in the evening I had to settle with these night time photos. I know this is not a very glamorous outfit but I chose to be more comfortable...more me, hence I chose a pair of denim shorts, ballet flats and a sequined sweater to jazz up my outfit a bit. I love this sweater and I cannot wait to wear it more. Also, if the bag looks familiar to you it's maybe because I have the same one in white, but I loved it so much that I decided to buy the black version also.

Sweater - Zara
Denim shorts - Stradivarius
Bag - River Island
Flats - Humanic
Bracelet - Accessorize

I know this is a rather simple look but I felt great wearing it. I am sure you've noticed by now that I prefer simple outfits and that I am no fashion maverick. But this is my style and I love it nevertheless. Give me a pair of fitted jeans, a nice blouse and some ballet flats and I'm ready to conquer the world :))

Have a beautiful week x

Windy Day by the Sea

Hello girls! For today I have another outfit from my trip to the seaside. I was away for five days and the weather was great except for one day when it was windy and rather chilly. I took these photos on that particular day when I decided to take a long walk on the beach and admire the rather stormy sea. I really like how the photos turned out, even thought my hair was all over my face because of the strong wind.

My Top 10 Summer Essentials

Hello loves!

I'm finally done with my dissertation paper and I managed to obtain the highest score! I'm so happy and proud and I can't wait to start a new chapter in my life. Anyway, after this stressful period, summer can officially begin for me and this is why I've chosen to make my first post in July a summer essentials post. So without further introduction, here are my top 10 summer essentials (clothes wise and makeup wise):

1. Bold prints
This season is all about big bold floral prints, whether we're talking about dresses, blouses, pants or scarfs.

(I've just bought this silk Zara scarf two days ago and it's really amazing)

2. Ice-cream colours
From what I've seen in the shops, ice-cream colours are a huge hit this season. I personally love this trend since I adore pastel shades. My favourite colour from this palette is mint, a colour which I believe to be the star colour of this season.

3. Flat sandals
Flat sandals are the perfect option for these hot summer days if you want to feel comfortable the entire day. Whether you choose a beaded pair, one with tassels or some gladiators, be sure to buy a pair that fits your style so that you will feel comfortable and stylish all day long.

4. The perfect pair of short shorts
I love shorts. For me nothing scream summer better than a pair of short shorts. I don't believe you should have long perfect legs to rock a pair. Just find a pair that is perfect for your body shape and in which you feel comfortable.

 5. Lovely summer dress
Another item which I love during summer is a flowy, beautifully coloured dress. They are extremely feminine and comfortable and this season they came in a large variety of shapes, prints and colours.

6. Colourful jewellery
This season is all about colour and jewellery is no exception. A bold coloured piece can make any outfit stand out.

7. Mini cross body bag
I'm  a huge fan of cross body mini bags, especially during summer when I feel the need to be as comfortable as ever. Whether you pick a brightly coloured bag or a neutral one, mini bags are the perfect option for hot summer days.

8. Refreshing face spray
During these extremely hot summer days, when you feel that your make-up melts on your face, the best solution is to use a refreshing face spray which will revitalise your skin and make-up instantly. My personal favourite is the Caudalie Beauty Elixir, but there are plenty other brands to chose from.

9. Summer fragrance
Our clothes aren't the only ones which should scream summer, but our fragrances should do that too. So go and find a gorgeous fresh or sweet fragrance which will make you smell and feel incredible. My recommendation is Gorgeous Gardenia by Gucci or Nina Ricci's Elixir.

10. Bright make-up
As I said, this summer is all about colour so whether you choose a bright eyeshadow, a bright liner or a bright lipstick, don't forget to get your colour fix this season.

That's it guys, I hope you liked this post and if you have your own top summer essentials please tell me about them in the comments box below. And since the sales season has begun, I wish you all happy bargain shopping!

Lots of love x

A walk in the botanical garden

Hello loves,

I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was pretty low key, on Saturday I did some uni work and on Sunday I went to have a walk with my boyfriend in the botanical garden. The weather was great, even though it's pretty hot for May. We expected to have 30 degrees in June or July and not now. The garden looked lovely, with lots of beautiful flowers and blossomed trees. When I was little my mother always used to take me here because it was one of my favourite places. So I have a lot of sweet memories regarding this place.

I finally managed to take some outdoor outfit posts; you know I hate taking outfit pics outside because I feel silly, but the background was really beautiful and a park is always a great place to take photos. I think it's because I feel less awkward when I see that other people are also taking pictures around me :)).

This was one of the first outings for my new River Island front tassel cross body bag and I just wanted to say how much  I like it! It has a gorgeous design and it's perfect for summer thanks to its light colours. Another thing I  like about it is its size, because it's a little more spacious than your average mini cross body bag and this means I can stuff it with even more useless things whithout which us girls wouldn't feel complete when going out.

On to the outfit pics now...

Silk blouse - H&M// Bag - River Island// Jeans - Miss Sixty// Ballet flats - Nine West

How beautiful is this last picture? The tree seems to have something magical about it thanks to its beautiful white flowers, doesn't it?

That's it from me guys, have a great start of the week! x

Outfit for a Relaxed Saturday & New Jewelry Holder

Happy weekend everyone!

Today the weather was absolutely wonderful and I couldn't waste my day indoors. Therefore I went out for a stroll and a bit of shopping for some spring clothes. The walk in the old city centre was great and relaxing and the shopping went pretty well as I managed to find some beautiful pieces over at Zara. I finally managed to get my hands on a mint coloured blouse yeeey! (mint, where have thou been all my life??) There were a lot of gorgeous clothes in the store and if I had the necessary resources I would have left the store with a huge number of pieces of clothing. So if you are looking for some new additions to your spring wardrobe, then you should definitely go and check out the stuff over at Zara.

Here is what I wore on this beautiful Sunday afternoon (I took the photos with my Blackberry, therefore the quality is not that great...but the battery from my camera died).

Jacket - Orsay
Sweater - Stradivarius
Scarf - H&M
Bag - Nine West
Boots - Zara

Some candy coloured goodies from Zara. I love the pastel trend for this season since I've always been a fan of pastel shades. The current spring/ summer season seems to be extremely feminine with all those flowy materials, flower prints and candy shades!

The last thing I wanted to show you is my new jewelry holder, which is actually a mug holder but I think it does a great job at holding my necklaces.

I really needed something to put my necklaces and long pendants on and this mug holder is brilliant. It stores lots of jewelry and I think it also looks quite nice too. So next time you visit the kitchenware department pay extra attention to all the frying pans, forks or pots since who knows in what other ways then can be useful. Just kidding :))

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Take care x

Red & Black

I know I haven't done an OOTD for quite some time but lately it has become really hard to take outfit photos outside due to the fact that a) it's really cold  and b) it gets dark at 4 30 pm. So my apologies for the boring indoor background but this is the only way and place where I'm able to take decent outfit photos without freezing :D So this "lovely" door is going to be quite the star of my pics for the next period of time.

Today I went to a cute Italian restaurant to eat some pastas and I really liked my outfit choice, so I thought I could share it with you. I just love the combination between red and black and I was so delighted to finally find this red cardigan at Zara (I've been searching for it for ages). I added a simple black dress, tan boots and a lovely pair of H&M printed tights and I was ready to go.

In other news, I'm almost done with Christmas shopping, fact which makes me a really relaxed and happy person. I've bought all the presents for everybody and I'm almost done with buying decorations, but tomorrow I'm going to purchase the last remaining bits. So yeah, I was lucky to escape most of the madness this year!

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this beautiful (and stressful) time of the year!

Perfect late autumn day

Hello cupcakes!

Yesterday was my name day anniversary and I had a wonderful time with my boyfriend and my beautiful family! I was so lucky because yesterday was a gorgeous sunny autumn day and I had the chance to go for a walk in one of my favourite parks (I wanted to go since ages but I've been mega busy with work, I even had to go on Saturday because we had an emergency); so yesterday was somewhat of a bonus :) The park looked great with all the trees "dressed" in gorgeous colours and with the sun peeking from between the leaves. Afterwords, we went for some drinks in a lovely pub and in the evening we had a great home-cooked dinner with my family.

Moreover, I received some gorgeous flowers (my house is again full of flowers :X) and some beautiful presents, among which some Sephora goodies, a great pair of leather gloves and a lovely knitted jumper (you'll be seeing them featured on my blog in future posts)! I was so spoilt and had an amazing time! So thank you to all the people who made this day so special!

Also, here are a few pics from yesterday.

(I have no idea what I was trying to do in this pic)

Aren't the trees just gorgeous? Even though I'm a summer person I must admit that sunny autumn days are simply amazing :)

Talk to you soon

Lots of kisses
