Sunday Love

I found this beauty from Folli Follie while browsing the Internet a few days ago and I wanted to share it with you guys. I'm on the lookout for a new black handbag and I think this would do the job perfectly since it has a beautiful design but it is also the right size to fit all  your essentials. Although its price is a little steep, if you like it you can find it here. Also, if you have any other bag recommendations I would be more than happy to check them out.

The Most Beautiful Book

Hello loves! What have you been up to lately? For today I have a beautiful book recommendation. I've been reading this book for the past two weeks and I can honestly say that this has become my all times  favourite book. It managed to dethrone Stendhal's "The Red and the Black" and Maurice Druon's "Les Rois Maudits" ("The Cursed Kings") which until now have been my favourite books.

You probably know by now, because I said it countless times, that I am a huge history obsessed geek. Thus it comes as no surprise that my favourite novels are history novels. And if you add one of the most captivating love stories in history as a subject, then there are huge chances I will love it. But you don't have to be a sad little person who adores history (like I obviously am) in order to love this book. It will captivate you right away I promise :)

The book is called "Courtesan", it is written by Diane Haeger and it tells the wonderful love story between Diane de Poitiers, one of the most famous courtesans of the 16th century, and Henri II of France. What really fascinated me about their story was the strength of their love and how Diane, a woman who was almost 20 years Henri's senior, managed to remain his one true love and his most thrust worthy confidant until the tragic accident that ended his life. However, this is not only a book about one of the most beautiful love stories in the world, but also a book about the life of an extraordinary woman who managed to remain in history as one of the most enigmatic and intriguing female figures thanks to her beauty, wits,  ambition and incredible life story. This book is beautifully written, it's full of emotional tension and you will submerse in the amazing universe of the 16th century French court created by Diane Haeger with great ease. I guarantee that once you start reading the book, you will not be able to put it down until you finish it.

You can order it here (international) or here (Romanian site)

I really hope I managed to convince you even a bit to buy this book because it's really worth your time. I think no description can do it justice and this is why I urge you to grab your nearest copy and start reading it immediately!

Have a beautiful start of the week x

Bag Perfection

You probably know by now how much I love small sized bags. And when I found this gem on Zara's website it was love at first sight. It has a beautiful structural design, a long chain strap which means you can wear it also across your body, and  you can dress it up or down depending on the occasion. As I said...perfection in a bag :)

Indian Summer Nights

Happy 1st of October, I hope this is going to be an amazing month for all of us! At the moment we are experiencing some sort of a heatwave in Bucharest with temperatures of 30 degrees. I never thought I would be wearing shorts in October and other summary clothes but our weather never ceases to amaze us. I must say I absolutely love this weather but in a way I miss those chilly autumn days and my autumn wardrobe.

Anyway, this is what I wore a few days ago to a lovely Lebanese dinner. I know these are not the best of outfit pics but since you can have dinner only in the evening I had to settle with these night time photos. I know this is not a very glamorous outfit but I chose to be more comfortable...more me, hence I chose a pair of denim shorts, ballet flats and a sequined sweater to jazz up my outfit a bit. I love this sweater and I cannot wait to wear it more. Also, if the bag looks familiar to you it's maybe because I have the same one in white, but I loved it so much that I decided to buy the black version also.

Sweater - Zara
Denim shorts - Stradivarius
Bag - River Island
Flats - Humanic
Bracelet - Accessorize

I know this is a rather simple look but I felt great wearing it. I am sure you've noticed by now that I prefer simple outfits and that I am no fashion maverick. But this is my style and I love it nevertheless. Give me a pair of fitted jeans, a nice blouse and some ballet flats and I'm ready to conquer the world :))

Have a beautiful week x

Love Popcorn Knit Heart Jumper from ASOS

I've seen this Love jumper quite a lot recently over the web and surprise surprise I started to like it...quite a lot. I think that the oversized fit and the combination between black and white made me like it so much. What do you think, yay or nay?

Lots of love

The Perfect Dress

Today I was browsing the Internet and came across this absolutely stunning dress of SJP at the NYC Ballet Valentiono event. I cannot express how much I love it...it's the perfect combination for me: silk + embroidery + nude dusty colour = perfection. For me at least. This has to be one of the most beautiful gowns I've ever seen this year (and not only). Needless to say, the bronze belt makes this dress even more spectacular by emphasising the waist and creating a gorgeous contrast with the gown's pale colours. Beautiful!

Today I like...

...This knitted necklace jumper from Topshop. Have you ever seen something so sweet and feminine as this beauty right here? They have it also in grey, but I prefer this blush pastel colour because everything in autumn and winter seems to be black or grey, so this shade is more like a pop of colour in a sea of dark colours. The embellished neckline gives it a unique twist which will make every outfit stand out. I can see myself wearing it to various occasions because it is very versatile and can be combined with different pieces.

Wonderful Danes

Hello loves! I know I've been MIA for a while but I've been away for a few days in a wonderful place near Sighisoara, called Dracula-Danes domain and I'm smitten with the place. I think this has become my favourite place in Romania. Located in an idyllic place, it has everything you need in order to have a relaxing vacation: fresh air, beautiful, clean rooms, delicious food, vast gardens, a pool, a mini farm, and my favourite, stables with beautiful trained horses; thus, if you love horse riding, you have the opportunity to take as many horse riding lessons as you like. Actually, the whole place is like a sanctuary dedicated to horses.

Now I will leave you with some of the photos I took on my trip. I really recommend going to this place because it's perfect and you will no doubt have a great time there. I personally didn't think there is such a place in Romania, so I was more than pleasantly surprised with what I've found there.
